Our current composition policies are as follows:

To Request Compositions:

To request compositions at Unrestrained Studios, you can easily contact Jason Hubbard at (203) 437-2119 or fill out a "request" form and he will respond within one business day.  Hours of operation are Saturday 7pm - 10 pm and Sunday 9am - 10 pm.  Only scheduled appointments are acceptable and there is no open door policy.  For any information on weekday hours, please contact Jason Hubbard for details and availability.  In some cases, such as composing an entire backing track for a solo artist, it is suggested that the artist request music via appointment.  Later, compositions will be completed in an agreed amount of time, for an agreed amount of money.  This process would save the artist money by eliminating the "studio time" charge, then being subjected only to "composition fees."

Rates:

Composition (includes only the creation of music, not the recording of it) $15.00 per composed minute (single instrument) $60.00 per hour to compose a full backing track for any soloist Studio Musicians (professional musicians can perform your music for you)  $20.00 per hour for guitars, bass, and/or keyboards  $25.00 per hour for drums Payment      All composition and performance charges are completely seperate from all other fees.  These charges need to be paid upon completion of the writing/performance session.   Contracts      Contracts will be in place to protect the artist and/or Unrestrained Studios from any copyright infringement laws as well as any failure to comply with the payment policies above.  Once an artist has purchased his/her compositions, the music legally belongs to the person or persons signing the contract.
