Guitar Rig

|
Easily create any guitar setup imaginable!
Guitar Rig is a complete solution for the modern guitarist -- on the stage, in the rehearsal space, at home,
and in the studio. Combines highly advanced software with a sturdy hardware footcontroller called Rig Kontrol. The Guitar
Rig software offers first-class emulations of classic and modern amplifiers, cabinets, microphones, and effects. The outstanding
sound quality, extensive features, and wide ranging flexibility set Guitar Rig apart.
4 freely assignable switches
and one pedal for controlling the software. The newly developed Rig Kontrol footcontroller offers a functional design and
sturdy construction. Rig Kontrol allows for direct control over any parameters the user assigns to it. At the same time it
serves as a DI box for connecting the guitar to the computer soundcard.
A separate MIDI interface is not necessary
since the control data for the footcontroller are communicated via the line-in connection. Guitar Rig can also be controlled
with other MIDI footcontrollers. Compatible with OS X, Windows XP, and all major plug-in formats.
Rigging up the Guitar
Rig: The guitar is connected via a standard guitar cable to the line input on the Rig Kontrol footcontroller. 2 standard line
outs on the Rig Kontrol connect to the line ins of your audio interface (soundcard) via standard guitar cables as well. There's
no USB, MIDI, or FireWire connection necessary!
Guitar Rig integrates 4 tube amplifier emulations, which were developed
through detail-exact analysis of popular models. In addition there are more than 20 outstanding sounding effects, including
emulations of well-known vintage pedals and modern effects like delay, reverb, and EQs. Guitar Rig also includes an extensive
"Cabinets and Mics" module with 14 speaker types and 5 microphone types, each with 4 different positions. Up to 8 speaker
and mic combinations are possible simultaneously!
Guitar Rig's modular structure makes it possible to combine any
amplifier or effect in any order or quantity you desire. A special split module allows parallel signal processing with different
amplifiers, cabinets, and effects.
First-class sound
Native Instruments is known for outstanding emulations
of hardware instruments. For Guitar Rig, NI has developed a special "Dynamic Tube Response" technology, which provides an
unprecedented clarity and responsiveness in the sound. With help from impulse response modeling, the sound characteristics
of different speakers and microphones can be emulated simultaneously. This results in powerful, dynamic guitar sounds that
sound just like the originals while setting all new benchmarks.
Live and in the studio
Guitar Rig is
ideal for live performance and practice sessions and can run as a standalone application without the need for any host sequencing
software. In fact, the footcontroller makes playing possible without the need to touch, or even see, the computer! Naturally,
Guitar Rig also supports all major plug-in formats, making it an excellent tool for recording, postproduction, and sound design.
